At Kisiel Piling we recognise that the interfaces between the Main Contractor and the piling contractor can be problematic and lead to inefficiencies and costs that were not foreseen at the project start. Kisiel piling accept the responsibility and risk of some, or all, of these attendant services to suit our customers. These include some or all of the following: site hoarding design and construction; provision of welfare facilities including water supply; piling platform design and construction; establishment of site baselines; pile setting out; attendant machinery for the moving of pile spoil and the removal of pile spoil from site.
Pile integrity testing has become the standard for assessing the quality of pile cast-in-situ pile construction particularly for CFA piles. The test is done after the pile head is cut down by the sub-structure contractor and this leads to a potential dispute over whether the defect was caused by the pile trimming operation. Kisiel Piling can construct the sub-structure beams, pile caps, slabs and drainage taking full responsibility for the interface risk between the piling and sub-structure contractor. Additionally, Kisiel Piling offer a full design service including load take-down, pile layout design and the reinforced concrete sub-structure design and drawings.
